Governor Ducey appoints Weinzweig to Court of Appeals

The Governor’s office announced the appointment of David Weinzweig to Division One of the Arizona Court of Appeals. Judge Weinzweig fills the vacancy left open by the retirement of Judge Downie.  From 2012-to 2017, Judge Weinzweig worked in the Solicitor General’s Office as Senior Litigation Counsel, primarily handling the Attorney General’s Office’s defense of Arizona statutes against constitutional challenges.  Before that, Judge Weinzweig was an attorney at Lewis and Roca.  The Governor’s press release can be found here.
