The Commission on Appellate Court Appointments seeks public input on the eleven candidates who have applied to fill the vacancy on Division One of the Arizona Court of Appeals created by the retirement of Judge Peter Swann.
The Commission on Appellate Court Appointments seeks public input on the eleven candidates being considered to fill the vacancy on Division One of the Arizona Court of Appeals created by the retirement of Peter Swann. The Commission seeks public input on the following candidates:
- Hon. Christopher A. Coury of the Maricopa County Superior Court
- Kelly J. Flood of the State Bar of Arizona
- Amanda E. Heitz of Bowman and Brooke LLP
- Jared E. Holland of Holland Law Group, PLLC
- Andrew M. Jacobs of Snell & Wilmer, LLP
- Alice M. Jones of the Office of the Arizona Attorney General
- James M. Manley of the Pacific Legal Foundation and the Goldwater Institute
- Hon. Jay M. Polk of the Maricopa County Superior Court
- Amy D. Sells of Tiffany & Bosco, P.A.
- Karen L. Johnson Stillwell of the City of Phoenix Attorney’s Office
- Hon. Cassie E. Bray Woo of the Maricopa County Superior Court
The Commission will review the applications, hear public comments, and interview the applicants on January 17, 2023. The Commission will then send at least three nominees for the opening to Governor Hobbs for consideration and appointment.
